While any company might be leery about a BYOD policy, the results of a recent report done for Bank of America show just how tied Americans are to their personal phones. This can be a plus if businesses decide to utilize the right terminal emulator.
According to the information, which was unearthed by Braun Research, Inc., the average American user is tied to their mobile phone and rank it above other important aspects of daily life. This not only includes other digital things like social networking or laptops, but even basic things like coffee or microwaves.
Asked to rank these items, mobile phones ended getting the same score, 91 percent, as deodorant. The only concepts that placed higher were cars, the internet and the toothbrush.
Interestingly enough, the numbers were different for the 18-24 age range, where mobile phones placed higher than all of the other items. Another part of the report notes that 85 percent of those surveyed consult their phones multiple times in one day.
In the press release accompanying the report, Bank of America's Senior Vice President, Marc Warshawsky, described the impact that mobile growth has had for their business in particular.
"Bank of America now has more than 15 million active mobile banking users who access their accounts on a mobile device over 165 million times per month," he said. "We've seen this number continue to grow and recently the number of monthly mobile banking logins surpassed online banking logins for the first time."
With a browser emulator software in place, your company can take advantage of the mobile-friendly world we live in.
