When using the Emulator Block Copy Action-- 
--and the selected area is more than one row, this option will detect vertical columns or one or more blanks. For each clear column that is identified, a TAB character will replace the blank(s) in the text copied to the clipboard.
This will allow pasting into applications like spreadsheets so that the data from the screen will be aligned into individual columns in the target application.
Users can also change this option in the settings.
