WebFlow Macros Administration

Scroll Prev Top Next More

The WebFlow macros are very powerful with a number of different configuration tasks needed to support users properly.

How administration works depends on if Security has been activated for your FVTerm application.  At the time of this writing, Windows Security, Azure Active Directory, Google Signin and SAML 2.0 (Octa, SalesForce and others) are supported Security options.  Note that the default web.config installed with FVTerm has anonymous access and that you need to alter the settings to activate Security (if Windows Security, it also needs to be configured-in for your IIS feature or will not work).

When Security is active, users will be identified by the Macro server-side functions naturally, using the security provider's ID.  This simplifies macro administration considerably while also enabling support for user access to macros by Security Groups that they may be assigned to.

Without active Security, a number of settings in the web.config file are needed to assist in identifying users by their mainframe logon ID.
