When a 3270 or 5250 screen is displayed, if the cursor is not in an entry field, checking this setting will automatically position the cursor in the first entry field on the screen.

The behavior of existing desktop terminal emulators influenced the initial implementation of automatic positioning, this was dealt with as different customers requested / noted different behavior.
Before 2016, automatic cursor positioning was the default behavior for both 3270 and 5250 sessions.
Starting in 2016, the default for 3270 was NOT to auto-position while for 5250 auto-positioning remained the default.
With this setting, auto-positioning is NOT the default for both 3270 and 5250 sessions.
