From the Inventu MMC, you can hold a server or release a server that is currently on hold. The use of the hold status is to bring a server gracefully to an offline status. Held servers do not accept new connections but will continue to support existing sessions.
In a cluster, once a server goes on hold, any of its available licensed sessions not active will be picked-up by the remaining server(s) in the cluster.
You can use the MMC to monitor user sessions and once all sessions are stopped on the held server, take it offline (on the server) for maintenance. Once maintenance is complete, the server can be started and will become active in the MMC once again.
Select one or more servers, then select Hold or Release accordingly
