These three settings enable a synchronized connection, necessary in integration (non-passthrough) environments.

 

To properly configure them, set trace on, and test an initial connection.  Then, view the Trace File, and determine a stable (won't change) text string on the first screen to be displayed by the host for this connection type.

 

Now, using Connect Row, Connect Column and Connect Text, map each entry so that it reflects the text you identified on the first ("welcome") screen.

 

Once this setting is made, when a CONNECT method is used for this host, the CONNECT will not complete until the ConnectText appears in the host screen buffer at ConnectRow, ConnectColumn.
