This has been fixed, and is available in a new build at ftp://ftp.ieinc2.com/ss1_3_8.zip.
Be forewarned, however, that this build has a known regression in the DevCenter for generating new templates and Posting them for compile from the DevCenter (trap). This will be fixed and incorporated in SS1_3_9.zip available on Friday along with complete release notes.

better, not fixed. The screen display is now OK, but if I key another transaction into line 1 (without another [clear]), I get transaction ' ' unrecognized. This same flow works in a straight emulator.

Right. I think it is the same regression that is breaking your other transactions, related to blank suppression (or actually too many blanks). I hope to have fixed later today.

the single fix you made available on Friday did not fix this problem, don't know if you expected it to.

I believe this is now fixed with latest 1.3.9 build at ftp://ftp.ieinc2.com/pub/surfer/ss1_3_9.zip.
