Description
Hello there:

Could you kindly tell me all the pros and cons related to
setting up the Screensurfer Service Control Panel to run
automatically versus running manually. We have
screensurfer installed on our intranet server and as per
now we have it set on manual.

In general, it seems to provide the best level of service
if the setting is automatic start.

Power failures, system reboots and so on will contribute to
a "down" system...then you have to restart it manually or
using a remote control connection to the server.

The only con for auto-start is if you do not use the
particular Screensurfer service on a regular basis, it will
sit and use up some memory...

When you are running Screensurfer as a personal,
developer's copy, it is then a personal preference...I
generally have it set as manual on my machine, since I then
can start/stop from the Screensurfer Service applet and
easily select diagnostic mode whenever I want to quickly
set all logging on.
