Description

When using Screensurfer to connect to our VT100
application, the app uses Ctrl-e and Ctrl-a for exiting and
accepting information, however, Screensurfer is not
translating this through (Ctrl-e brings up the search page
in IE5). I have changed the Keydefs param in
Personal.stml, and included rcontrol=rcontrol and
lcontrol=lcontrol (rcontrol was equal to enter).
I have stopped Personal.stml from being rebuilt.
Also, do you represent Ctrl-e like [ctrl-e] or do you have
to specify right ([rctrl-e]) or left ([lctrl-e])?

One suggestion to try at this point is to go to our ftp
site ftp://www.screensurfer.com and download the latest
version of Screensurfer. I assume you are using version
2? If so, download T2_0_11E zip file. This should help
with your VT100 connection.

With Version 3.0 I know we are having an issue with certain
control keys. This issue is currently under development.
One thing I did notice, are you using IE5 or IE5.5?

I am working with IE5.5 and others are using IE5 and some
are using Netscape (don't know the version here though).
What kind of issues are you experiencing? Is there a way
to code ctrl-something mnemonically?

What does Ctrl E and Ctrl A do on your keyboards? Check
the documentation under basic scripting/Actions and look at
TEACTION KEY.

I looked and I couldn't find anything in the documentation
about the control key.
At my machine, when I am at the screens that need them,
ctrl-a does nothing and ctrl-e opens the search pane in
IE5.5 . So they aren't be send through Screensurfer.
I also tried coding <temacro sendkeys '[ctrl-a]'> and
<temacro sendkeys '[ctrl-e]'> in links, but that also
didn't work.

Hi Mike & Bill,
I'm still having an issue with the ctrl key mnemonic.
[ctrl-e] works fine, does what it's suppose to. However,
[ctrl-a] doesn't seem to be doing anything other than
refreshing the screen. I looked at the trace, but it just
shows [???] where the sendkeys is, instead of the [ctrl-a].

Sorry for the delay--actually, we got the Ctrl-A as well as
the Cursor positioning working last Thursday, but a T1 ISP
problem disrupted our normal Friday morning and we never
alerted you to the availability of the fix.
Fix is available from
ftp://www.screensurfer.com/T3_0_0N.zip (unzip to
\screensurfer\bin)
This fixes the [ctrl-a] as well as implements the <teaction
setcursor row column> so that cursor positioning works.
We would like to work with you on further improvement of
the Vt100 development environment...when would you be
available for a phone call?
