The most common problem in the initial connection to SNA
Server is security. If you are starting Screensurfer as a
service (diagnostic mode not checked), then the correct
userid and password must be entered in the service control
(off the NT Control Panel) for Screensurfer.

Best way to test if security is the problem is to start
Screensurfer with diagnostic mode on, and logged on as the
same user the applet worked for.

I am running in diagnostic mode, logged in as the user the
applet worked for.

Could the problem lie in the way the SNA server has been set
up ? or could the 3270 session be set up in a way that
causes the problem ???

Looking at the primary and secondary return codes, it looks
like the LU_NAME is invalid...

Primary RC= Parameter Check
Secondary RC= LUA_INVALID_LUNAME

LUA_PARAMETER_CHECK
Primary return code; the verb did not execute because of a
parameter error.

LUA_INVALID_LUNAME
Secondary return code; the lua_luname parameter did not
match any LUA LU name or LU pool name in the configuration
file.

It looks like you have a specific LU (H9LM106T) rather than
a Pool name defined--if you already have the applet up or
are accessing this LU from another device, that could be a
cause of this error...can you specify a Pool rather than a
specific LU?

I have given it a pool name, and its now works
