TN3270E is self-defining by the host you are connecting to.
So, you just want:
*TN3270:ip_address
Then, when connecting to the host, it goes "hey, do
TN3270E?" to which Screensurfer replies "OK, yes, I'll do
TN3270E".
Otherwise, the host starts asking if Screensurfer will do
the Telnet options necessary to support standard TN3270 and
goes from there.
The best way with our latest download is to use the
connection wizard, which gives you a nice interface for
determining which options work best for your host.
Then, take the connection string displayed in the wizard,
and edit the global.stml, <TESECTION HOME> to update one of
the links so that it uses the options displayed in the
wizard.
