may have nothing to do with TEIF, but is within one. This crash occurs only when template trace is running, but it may be related to the problem that caused me to turn trace on in the first place, but cannot diagnose without trace. supporting documentation sent via email.

Problem has been fixed-- will be posted in ftp://ftp.ieinc2.com/pub/surfer/T1.3.14.zip at around 10am today, June 6.
Problem was with long expressions--the tracing code for TEIF was not performing a length check on the size of the expression.
Sorry for the delay.

This is build 1.3.14 of IELUA.EXE, still not a formal release yet (pending readme and release information update).

Well, actually did change--first trap was actually fixed, second was a regression caused by the addition of a new macro, TEACTION PUTFIELD which acts like TEACTION PUTDATA only with a full-field write so that you don't have to pad with blanks in order to update a field properly.
Trace was goofing on the displaying the difference between PUTDATA and PUTFIELD.
