Description
I have installed Screensurfer onto a NT4 Server running SP4 and IIS 4.

The browser is IE4 with SP1 applied.

The problem I am getting is that when I try to establish a connection from the browser I get the following errors coming up in the diagnostics window :-

Executing Section : Unknown!!!

Last recognized host connection screen : global.default

Failing Component : Script Interpreter

Description of Failure :
Internal Execution error in Template Section "!none!.!none!", OpCode TEAREA due to exception code C0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION)-- Please report to www.screensurfer.com/report
I have tested the SNA connection from the Server using the 3270 Applet that is supplied with the SNA client software. This works fine and I am able to connect OK. The LU pool is definately setup OK.

Any suggestions ?

Comment Can you please do two things:
  1. Download the latest build for version 2, which is currently ftp://ftp.ieinc2.com/pub/surfer/T2_0_4K.zip (you unzip this file to \screensurfer\bin to replace ielua.exe)
  2. Restart Screensurfer (in Diagnostic mode), and in the Administrator's Console Settings Page, uncheck "Catch Program Exceptions" (apply changes)
  3. Recreate the problem -- it might not trap now, since I believe the trap you are getting has been fixed...but if it does you should now get a Dr. Watson
  4. Email \screensurfer\hostserver\surfdiag.log to surfer@ieinc.com, with Ticket 322 in the subject
  5. If you got a trap (Dr. Watson), please email \winnt\drwtsn32.log also to surfer@ieinc.com
Thanks-- sorry for this occurance, it might be a definition problem with your LU pool name or LU name, but the log will help us narrow this down for you.

Comment This problem has been fixed-- sorry, with Version 2.0 we have implemented pluggable screen-to-html protocol handlers, and the SNA connection was missing an initialization for the 3270 handler in the right place for a SMP box.
