Description
i happen to be one of those dinosaurs that still likes to have frequently-accessed documentation in hard-copy, and the screensurfer doc is one such package. what i do when there's a new doc release is go and print each section, but i'd much rather have a "print" capability provided in the doc, or else a .pdf version of the doc. obviously not a critical situation.

Comment related but not related - the table called Special Task Variables in TEMPVAR.HTML is wider than the one immediately below it called Special Screen Session Variables, and does not fit correctly on a printed page. I took a glance at the HTML, but did not quickly see any reason for this anomoly. It would be helpful if the tables fit on a single screen (eliminate scrolling), which would make it correspondingly fit on a printed page.

Comment Have fixed tempvar.html, thanks for the tip-- was an improperly closed table along with some unnecessary table header width directives.

Later today, should be updating the ftp://ftp.ieinc2.com/pub/surfer/surfdocs.zip file with this and other doc fixes.

We will be providing some printed documentation early in 1999, and are working on generating the GUIDE in a print-ready format, as well as the other docs.

Since HTML is our primary publishing format, we are behind the curve on printed docs, as true print control in HTML doesn't come until CSS2 is in the browsers, and until commercial-grade HTML-to-PDF is available. We have experimented with a few HTML conversion tools, and all produce horribly ugly results!
