TN5250 |
The host is typically an IBM AS/400 or I/Series computer supporting the 5250 family of terminal devices over the TN5250 protocol. The Inventu Viewer+ level of TN5250 also includes the "extended" TN5250 functions |
VT100/VT220 |
The host is typically a UNIX character-mode application which supports the VT100 protocol (or VT220 and Inventu Viewer+ also supports many VT330 features as well as SCO-ANSI, ADDS-Viewpoint and Wyse). Note that many devices can be interfaced with using VT100, such as routers, firewalls and Windows-based servers |
