When you first use the Inventu Viewer FVTerm terminal emulation, you will probably not need to make any changes to the preferences, as your server administrator will have configured the preferences and their defaults to fit the goals and particular circumstances of your organization.
Please note that the Preferences dialogue may not be available if your organization has decided to "lock down" the emulation configuration. If this is the case, all users of Inventu Viewer will have the same configuration in terms of font, color schemes and keyboard. This can be a significant advantage when calling for technical assistance, whether it be for the host application or the use of the Inventu Viewer emulator due to the consistency of the interface for all users.
If present, the Preferences dialogue enables you to modify the operational characteristics of your Inventu Viewer terminal emulator, based on options setup by the server administrator.
