Level

Description

Standard Telnet

Default, connect normally

Secure Shell (SSH)

Connect using the SSH Protocol.  Use this option when your connection requires SSH--you should change the Telnet Port to the SSH port on your system which is usually port 22

No Telnet (Dialup)

For direct-connection or dial-up systems using specialized hardware that provides a socket to connect to a hardware port.  When selecting this option your host address is usually localhost and the port will be determined by the vendor documentation providing the direct connection.

With this option, no Telnet handshake is presumed and the protocol is ready on connection.
