This value is the number of timeout intervals that must occur before a connection timeout occurs.

 

Note that the connection is considered complete when either there is "silence" in terms of data coming from the host or the Connect Text/Row/Column criteria is met.

 

The default for this value is 300, which is approximately 30 seconds.  There are some hosts that during certain times of the day may take more than 30 seconds to recognize and complete a new connection.  If you find that your scripts are timing-out on "clean connections" then you should increase this value appropriately.
